Resentment at hearing John Adams's The Wound Dresser, because, in its use of Whitman's prose, it seems a spin-off of my War Scenes and Pilgrim Strangers. Plus how can a heterosexual use such words? Then, on rehearsing, and rehearsing again, I'm moved - an not least because Adams is heterosexual. (I think he is).
