Ned Rorem in New York - 18 November, 1981

from The Nantucket Diary of Ned Rorem 1973-1985, page 336:

Miriam Fried and Garrick Ohlsson played Day Music at the Y. Two egos retained their identity while meshing into a happy marriage. That is, Garrick did not play like an accompanist, but with a limpid forcefulness. I felt wonderfully well represented.
