Benjamin Britten in London - 20 February, 1933
from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 132:
Listen to Broasas after dinner. Beethoven 1st Rasoumov.* Not my Beethoven but some of it is very beautiful Quartet playing. It's a treat to hear someone playing in tune. Then the Cantari alle Madrgalesca of Malerpierro,** which I like. They play it magnificently, as far as I can tell.
