An hour or two with Phyllis going through songs, Mahler and early Debussy and Poulenc. Her continual anxiety and apologies for her frayed voice. The songs she chose of VT's are about the only right thing for her to come out of retirement for... I felt tears rise... She sounded, not too long ago, so beautiful...
