Benjamin Britten in Prestatyn - 4 May, 1934

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 210:

Walk to post with him after supper, also listen to a scrap of a mediocre perf. of Beethoven Vln Concerto by Flesch and a dead as ditchwater perf of Brahms' 3rd Symp under Boult - oh; the slow movement - like all the badly played harmoniums! This is the first concert of the London (B.B.C.) Musical Festival.
