Benjamin Britten in Lowestoft - 19 January, 1935

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 244:

After dinner more wireless, including a recital by T. Brosa. Some lovely fiddling, but a disappointing show of the Franck Son. As the pianist (Manheimer) is as dead as mutton - and not even technically efficient.
