The second, on 30 November, in the Conservatory, was partly conducted by Rimsky-Korsakov, partly by Blumenfeld. (I still have my ticket for this.) The programme included Francesca da Rimini and the Fourth Symphony. Tchaikovsky’s portrait was on the cover of the latter programme, framed in black.
