Lady Orme et al. in London, England - 29 December, 1813

from Diary of Mary Berry, 29 December 1813, pages 546–547:

Dined at the Princess’s: there were only Mr. Craven, Little Willy,[*] and a young playfellow of his, and Lady Orme: these dinners become insupportable; the dulness [sic] makes me almost ill in the course of a long evening, only interrupted by the Princess singing with Mr. Craven, which is a screeching of which no idea can be formed without hearing it.

[*William Austin, Princess Caroline's adopted child]
