Dined (Bessy and I) at the Villamils’: company, the Sapios, W. Irving, and his brother. A party in the evening; Lord Granard and the two girls came, Mrs. Story, &c.; singing and supper.

Notes
The Sapio family included the tenor Lewis Sapio (1792-1851) who was well-known as a singer in Paris at the time. Lord Granard had three daughters, but Moore makes it clear that only two attended on this occasion. Elsewhere in his diaries for 1820-22 he mentions Ladies Adelaide and Caroline by name, so it is likely that they, being the youngest daughters, were the only two accompanying Lord Granard in Paris at the time.
